The Sony PlayStation State of Play was on Wednesday the 27th, earlier this week, and while some may say it did not showcase the stuff people really want to see I would contest that it showcased so great games and content for games from some great developers and creators.

It featured 9 titles but to me the biggest reveals were:

  • Star Ocean: The Divine Force
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach
  • Little Devil Inside

I admittedly was not aware or very interested when I first saw the opening scene of Little Devil Inside

H — O — W — E — V — E — R

After watching the gameplay revealed I have become more than interested. This is a game that has so much potential to a stand out game that will be enjoyed for a long time.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force

This game is something completely new to me. I don’t know the lore, the characters or the old games. The only thing I know is the cover art from the original game. When I watched the trailer I was intrigued because there’s something compelling recently about RPG’s and JRPG’s that has captivated my attention enough to want to get into them. Perhaps as I get

older I am looking for games that have great stories, new characters and amazing art and character abilities. This one will be interesting as we learn more about it.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach

My biggest takeaway from this game is that it looks to me, and I could be wrong, that they created a new style of gameplay for an already classic game.

The real question is,

Will people enjoy it?

I believe so because the stories have become something that people want to know more about and I think this game is going to do the job of telling some of their story while keeping some if shrouded in mystery. These are all guesses of course, considering I never played any of the series. Now to the game that really caught my attention.

Little Devil Inside

This game is something that has a whole different feel to it. It is side scrolling, top down, 3D platforming, open world, RPG type elements and that is just the environments and mechanics of the game. The story is one that seems like it will have all sorts of twists and turns. Just from the initial gameplay and trailer this looks like one I definitely want to explore.

Upcoming Showcases

I got my newest round of indie games to showcase and I am really excited about them. Two of them I did reviews of the demos for during the Indie Houses event that happened a few months back.

Jack Axe

and

The Legend of Tianding

The showcases will be up in a few days but check out the videos for the demos to learn more of these games.

The Legend of Tianding

The other two games are a couple of platformers that I am looking forward to sharing so STAY TUNED.
