Las Vegas has always been a city full of entertainment, but lately I’ve noticed even more for retro gaming fans like myself. Pink Gorilla Games and Retro City Games in Henderson both have shelves packed with classic consoles, cartridges, and all kinds of memorabilia. No matter if you’ve been collecting for years or you’re just starting out, you’ll find something here that grabs your attention.

One thing I really enjoy about these stores is how there’s something for everyone. If you’re new to retro gaming, you can dig through bins of Nintendo DS games for under $10, which is a great way to get started. If you’re a serious collector, there are some rare gems tucked away that are always fun to hunt for.

Walking further into the store, I always spot rows of Super Nintendo cartridges lined up on wire racks. It’s a treat to see some of my favorite sports and action games from back in the day, and I can’t help but stop and look for the ones I used to play.

When it comes to hardware, these stores really take me back. Seeing an original Nintendo Entertainment System console and controller on display always reminds me of my early days with video games. It’s cool to think that a new generation can get the same feeling I did when I first picked up that controller.

It’s not just Nintendo, either. There’s a whole wall of PlayStation games, with titles from all different eras. Seeing how much gaming has changed over the years is always interesting, especially when you spot a game you remember playing for the first time.

Besides the games, there are also plush toys, including some pink Pokémon-style characters that really add a fun touch. Details like this make the store feel even more welcoming, and I always end up picking up something I didn’t expect.

If you’re into collecting, you’ll spot Nintendo amiibo figures and accessories too. I like how these connect the old-school and modern sides of gaming, bringing everything together in one place.

If you’re looking for something special, there are also some high-end collectibles. I spotted some detailed God of War figures that would make any fan’s collection stand out.

Retro gaming is more popular than ever, and you can really feel it when you visit these stores. Icon Era reports that the global retro gaming market hit $3.8 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach $4.18 billion in 2026. That’s a big jump in just one year.

Miguel, Assistant Manager at Pink Gorilla Games, described the retro games scene in Las Vegas, in the following way, “As far as the scene in Las Vegas, it is kind of like the state of retro gaming in a lot of different places, which is, there is a real hunger for retro gaming stores, and to have stores that will curate and grow community and we’ve found that Las Vegas was really ripe for being able to really thrive on the unique brand of retro gaming that Pink Gorilla can provide”.

From old-school controllers to the latest consoles, these stores are packed with nostalgia. Whether you’ve been gaming for years or you’re just starting out, you’ll feel right at home here. For me, these are must-visit spots for anyone who loves classic gaming in the Las Vegas Valley.
