Who Am I

John "Retr0lag" Bautista is a dreamer. A dreamer that one day got tired of feeling like he was unable to do anything and feeling like he was not good at anything. It all started from learning how to rap. Then it turned into making music. Before long the self taught skills included graphic design, video editing, podcasting, marketing, writing, producing, narrating and even a little bit of breakdancing (not anymore).

John went from being a dreamer to being an achiever. From 20 years serving in the military to serving briefly with TSA, the border patrol, a local police department and even in corrections, John has went on to continue to push towards his ultimate goal - being a insightful, inspirational and forward thinking producer and journalist in all aspects of new media in the gaming industry.

Aspiring to being a subject matter expert means continued learning, mentoring, experimenting and experiencing and contributing. Putting in the work is not something John is unfamiliar with.
